An Honest Review of the iPhone 11

It was announced at Apple’s fall 2019 event that the iPhone 11 would be released on September 20, 2019. The iPhone 11 now retails for $699. The iPhone 11 Pro retails for $999, and the 11 Pro Max retails for $1099. An announcement of a new iPhone is always very exciting, especially with all of the new features. So we put together an honest review of the iPhone 11 to talk about every feature before you go out and purchase a new phone.

A Look at The New iPhone 11 Features

The regular iPhone 11 offers high quality dual smartphone cameras, but the iPhone Pro and Pro Max offer a third camera for optical zoom, which gives you some more range with your photos. The front-facing camera has also been updated with wide-angle selfie support when your phone is in landscape.  And their new night mode in the camera app gives you great results with very minimal light. Along with still photos, the new extended range in video and cinematic stabilization makes your iPhone videos appear like movies. Video quality is 4K at 60 frames per second (fps), as well as include features like slo-mo, time-lapse, and expanded dynamic range.

Outside of the new amazing iPhone camera quality, thanks to the A13 Bionic processor, the iPhone 11 Pro is the fastest phone that you can purchase. The phone offers great endurance, with about 10.5 hours of battery life, while the Pro Max lasts about 12 hours on a single charge. And the fast charger in the box works wonders, offering about 55% in around 30 minutes.

The camera and the battery life are the biggest changes, but there are other things including a more durable glass front and back and an OLED display which makes your screen much brighter.  So compared to older versions of the iPhone, it has a more enhanced display, better camera quality, more durable screen, and a longer battery life. But this phone is also heavier than the iPhone XS, which can be a bummer to carry around.

We wish it included more storage than just 64GB. Compared to the Galaxy Note 10, this Samsung phone holds four times more storage at 256GB. Although Apple does a better job with making the phones more compressed than Android phones, you can pay less for more storage with Samsung.

There is also a lack of 5G connectivity, but it’ll be a year until there’s more widespread coverage. So you’ll have to stick to 4G LTE still when operating your iPhone 11.
